A'dam Day 270

gps: on the way to Lisbon, stop over in Paris
mood: excited
on my mind: all the things still to be done, all the things left undone, all the things that will happen....

I think I'm happy

... On this day ...

"1997: President Clinton announced creation of a research center at the National Institutes of Health devoted to the goal of developing an AIDS vaccines within the next decade" - which would be about ... NOW, wouldn't it? - taken from here

A'dam Day 257

gps: my room
working on: emails, postcards, letters, my Dutch catching up & the sketching of a proposal
thinking of: how crazy this week has felt & what am I to do about the research project

Last seen: Hauro no ugoku shiro (2004) [English title: Howl's moving castle] - a 2,5h product of Hayao Miyazaki dealing with perceptions of age and outer look, transformation/metamorphosis, the shaping of reality. I was so caught up into it that I couldn't make any breaks during the entire duration of the film! Am thinking of watching it for a 2nd time in order to elucidate some awkwardly understood parts of the plot. Yet definitely didn't feel like a waste of time!

also thinking of: Zandvoort's last couple of visits
- thus the pick of pic

A'dam Day 252

gps: school, for the afternoon

working on:
getting my bike back
13.00hrs ICL lecture
15.00hrs Sympo meeting
17.00hrs VRK meeting
18.00hrs Amnesty meeting

on the back burner: the catching up with my Dutch course & the Eurojust afspraak; catching up with emails & snail mail

thinking of: GTD, again & the mapping out of my May timetable in a more coherent/consistent manner

strange feel of the day: I'm missing Lisbon for a while now... hope to get there some time soon!

A'dam Day 249

...random thoughts:
  • mum's visit was great for me! hope she enjoyed it as well. it broke my heart, getting her to the airport at early hours last Fri...
  • Paul's 2nd visit was insane! We went on the Booster ride, the lil bumpin cars, partyin till early hours & witnessing the 50-year old pensioned male ballerina! Queen's Day was sunny & vivacious and I've been generally enjoying everything to a great extent...
  • Geneva was under the sign of the "fire drill"! Running, counting, rearranging, well everything an organizer needs to do for some 24 people having attended the trip. My first Genevoise experience. Perhaps more to come later, in any case highly inspirational...
  • back to tidying up & reorganizing! Need to get myself updated on about everything!
Alex: as said on the phone, LA MULTI ANI!! (cu intarziere...). Happy to have learned, however, that you've had quite a party on the occasion! :)

p.s. the little plan i planted less than 2 weeks ago has now bloomed! makes me happy! :)
